Dorothy Butler passed away peacefully at Woodlands Nursing Center at the age of 79 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Wauchula, Florida on May 29, 1945 to Robert Eugene Hill and Eva Marie (Williams) Hill.

Although she put herself through school for accounting, she spent most of her career as a waitress. She never remarried, because she didn’t like anyone telling her what to do. She was very stubborn. She was a loving mother to 4 children, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren (and one on the way), and 2 great great grandchildren. She was very loved and will be dearly missed.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters, Barbara Staton and Rosie Cox, her brothers, Emory and Wesley Hill and her youngest daughter Dana Edens. She leaves behind 1 brother, Robert Hill, her son, Mark (Laura), daughters, Sharon (Don) and Libby (Frank), her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

A private memorial with family will be held to celebrate her life.
