Abigail Kathryn Gebhardt (née Pestka), born on January 7, 1994, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2024, in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was the beloved wife of Michael Gebhardt and a devoted mother to her cherished children, Teddy and Charlotte. Abigail was the treasured daughter of Ron and Tracy Pestka and a dear sister to Nicholas Pestka (Emily). She was an adoring aunt to Jackson. Abigail was also the loving daughter-in-law of Steve and Sharon Gebhardt and sister-in-law to Nicole Gebhardt.

Abigail was the sweet granddaughter of Fran Emerson and the late Thomas Emerson, as well as Judy Pestka and the late Ronald Pestka, Sr. She was a beloved sister-in-law, niece, cousin, and friend to many. Abigail will be remembered for the fierce and unconditional love she showed her family and friends. Known for her gift of gab and quick wit, she never met a stranger and endeared herself to all who crossed her path.

In her youth, Abigail was an avid sports participant and later became a passionate fan. Her love for learning led her to start  pursuing a degree in nursing, a testament to her natural caregiving spirit. Abigail often put the needs of others before her own, embodying a selfless and nurturing nature.

Her sudden passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Abigail’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, providing comfort and inspiration in the days to come.

Abigail’s family will be hosting a memorial mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life in the gym.
