Julie Anne Floyd

August 10, 1965 ~ December 14, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Julie Anne LaGarce (nee Floyd) of Saint Louis on December 14, 2024, at the age of 59.

Julie was born on August 10, 1965, in Saint Louis Missouri, to Richard Carroll Floyd and Shirley Claire Floyd (nee Slinger).

Julie is preceded in death by her loving father Richard Carroll Floyd, sweet brother-in-law Richard (Rick) Renfro, and dear Aunts Joyce Burgdorf (nee Slinger), and Donna Damery (nee Slinger).

Julie is survived by her adoring daughters Ashley Danielle (Adam) Womack (nee LaGarce) and Alexandra Dee LaGarce, former spouse and father of her children Christopher Michael LaGarce, doting grandchildren Mia Love Womack and Liam Michael Womack, devoted mother Shirley Claire Floyd (nee Slinger), admiring sisters Beverly K Floyd and Gail (Rick) Renfro (nee Floyd), cherished by nephew Eric Renfro, niece Chelsea Kammer (nee Renfro), and nephew Samuel Floyd.

Julie was a loving mother, cherished friend, and nature enthusiast. A wonderful woman whose life was intertwined with the beauty of the natural world. She found joy in tending to her gorgeous orchids and the flutter of hummingbirds and crows outside her window brought her great comfort. Her love of all creatures, from her neighborhood squirrels to all of our beloved family pets, spoke to her kind and nurturing spirit and deep connection to life’s wonders.

An avid lover of puzzles, classic tv, and the constant rhythms of music. Julie embraced life’s simple pleasures. Whether solving a puzzle, enjoying a lively game of bingo, or listening to her favorite radio shows, she brought a sense of joy to every moment. Music was her constant companion; Julie was a karaoke queen. She never went anywhere without her radio headset. She was a lifelong rock star.

Julie will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love for nature, animals, and the small joys of life. Her spirit will continue to bloom in the flowers she nurtured, the birds she befriended, and the hearts she touched.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life which will be held at St. Louis Cremation, located at: 2135 Chouteau Avenue St. Louis MO 63103, on January 18, 2025, from the hours of 11:00am to 2:00pm.
