On January 27th, 2025, Robert E Johnston Jr died at home after a short battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.  He was 52 years old.

Bob is survived by his mother Bonnie of Blackwell, MO; his wife Cathy of 30 years and his children Steven of Festus, MO and Ashley of Blackwell, MO.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Homer and Mary Johnston, Charles and Martha Pope; his father, Robert Sr and his sister Stephanie.

Bob was born on May 30, 1972, in Festus, MO.  He graduated from Grandview in 1990. He obtained his welding certificate from Jefferson College.  He retired from Rockwood School District, after working for 15 years.

Bob married Cathy in 1994 after meeting while working at Buchheit’s.  They welcomed Steven in 1995 and Ashley in 2002, making the family complete.  Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He never knew a stranger and would help anyone at anytime.  There wasn’t much that he couldn’t do.

A memorial service will be announced in the near future.
