Cindy Michelle Reed Atherton

Cindy Michelle Reed Atherton died unexpectedly on January 29, 2025. She was born on February 11, 1964 the daughter of the late John and Gloria Smith Reed. 

Cindy was the wife of Stanley Richard Atherton Sr. and the beloved mother of their four children, Thomas, Janet (Ernesto) and Eric Atherton. Her eldest son Stanley Richard Atherton Jr. predeceased her. Grandmother of Ethan, Emma, Elle and Eva Atherton and of Savanna Atherton. 

Besides her children, husband and grandchildren, she is survived by brothers Michael Reed, John Reed and sisters Connie Porter, Lynette Franks and Dottie Campbell. 

In addition to her parents and eldest son she is predeceased by brothers Wesley Reed, Ronnie Reed, Paul Daniel Reed, Tony Reed, Christopher Pratt, David Ray Anthony Thornton and sister Diane Thompson.  

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her

Or you can be full of the love that you shared
