Henry Meixner

Harry Henry “Bud” Meixner Jr., 87, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. Born on October 25, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, Harry was the son of the late Harry Henry Meixner Sr. and Nellie Louise (Pierce) Meixner as well as his in-laws, Rosemary (Garner) Howe and James Paul Howe. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Lou (Howe) Meixner, with whom he shared a loving marriage for 64 years. Together, they ran a successful sign shop for over 60 years, where Harry’s dedication and craftsmanship were known and appreciated by many.

Harry was a family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He was a proud father and grandfather to his child and grandchildren, Timothy (Suzanne) Meixner, Francesca (Aaron) Meixner, Augustus (Katie) Meixner, Adelaide (Brandon) Meixner, Vincent Meixner, and a devoted great-grandfather to his grandchildren, including Evanjolene Hendrix and Waylon Hendrix. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss him.

Harry’s siblings include Carol, George (Leary) Meixner, Nelly Gail Thomas (Michel) Meixner, Edward Meixner, and preceded in death by William Joan (Gable) Meixner.

A man of many passions, Harry found peace and joy by the water and spent much of his life surrounded by nature. He had a special love for his horse, Judge Roy Bean, and took great pride in caring for him. Harry also served in the National Guard. His work ethic and ability to make people laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

His legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his generosity.

Harry’s Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15th, at 11:00 am at True Life Community Church (5429 North HWY 94 St. Charles, MO 63301). In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to True Life Community Church and Parkinson’s Research.
