Jacqueline Louise Spradling, a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Missouri, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 4th, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital. She was surrounded by her family and attained the age of 69 years.
Born on September 7th, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, Jackie was the beloved daughter of Mary “Lou” Louise Boyer and James H. Boyer. She spent 37 wonderful years in a devoted relationship with her significant other, Leslie H. Blumer.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard “Rick” Boyer, Robert “Bob” Boyer, and James “Jim” Boyer, as well as her brothers-in-law: Curt Otis, Russ Stone, Calvin Currinder.
She is survived by her loving children: Kevin (Brenda Lelko) Spradling and Scott (Alexa) Spradling. Jackie is also remembered by her sisters and brothers: Theresa “Terry” (Thomas) Fitzgerald, Susan Boyer, Sandy Stone, Thomas (Tracy McCorkle) Boyer, Toni (Bob Peth) Otis, Timothy (Melissa) Boyer, and her sister-in-law, Sally Boyer, Pam Boyer, all residing in the St. Louis area. Her four cherished grandchildren, Tyson Spradling, Bryce Spradling, Nathan Spradling, born in St. Louis and now living in Denver, Colorado, and Bryce Mauer born and living in St. Louis.
Jackie was deeply committed to her family and friends. After her health led her to retire in 1993 from Melbourne Manufacturing, she embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom and loving partner. Jackie had a passion for sports and was a talented athlete. She took great pride in watching her sons grow up and excel in various sports. Some of her proudest moments included seeing her son Scott serve four years in the Air Force and Kevin graduate from college with his degrees. Jackie treasured her 37 years with her best friend and life partner, Les Blumer, always reminding him, “Who loves ya babe.”
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Mary’s and St. Louis University Hospitals for the care and compassion shown to Jackie.
