Edward Lee Boyce

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Lee Boyce, 79. Ed, born January
1, 1946, laid down his sword after a valiant and fearless fight against a rare aggressive renal cell
carcinoma, surrounded by family who loved him dearly on March 14, 2025. He fought with
strength, bravery and grace.

Ed, a life-long proud St. Louisan, earned a living by working with his hands. First as a pipe fitter
then as a carpenter with Local 0047 and eventually starting his own construction company, Ax& E Construction Company.

Ed married the love of his life, Debbie (Dodgson) July 11, 1998. Ed leaves behind to cherish his
memory sisters Karen Ream and Laura Meyer and his favorite “outlaws” and their families Terry
(Bruce) McConnell, Becky (Al) Fiore, Boomer (Jayne) Dodgson, and Julie Dodgson. He also
leaves behind his fur babies Trixie, Asa and Cora.

Ed’s favorite place on Earth was Maui, Hawaii where he owned a condo for years. He also
enjoyed Alaska and Las Vegas…the later probably a little too much! Ed was a huge fan of St. Louis
sports and season ticket holder of the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues and the 1995-2015
St. Louis Rams.

Animals of the world have lost a true advocate and ally with the loss of Ed. For those who would
like to make donations in Ed’s memory they can be made to the World Bird Sanctuary 125 Bald
Eagle Ridge Rd. Valley Park, MO 63028 or Second Chance Ranch 272 Hillsboro Rd. High
Ridge, MO 63049.

Per Ed’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. His master said to him “Well done good and
faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of
the master.” Matthew 25:21.
