A. Catherine “Kay” Schmitt (nee Moorman), age 86, of St. Louis, passed away on May 12, 2025.

She was born on September 17, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kay was predeceased by her brother, William.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Sharon) Schmitt, Karen (Mike) Riffel, and Robert (Rachael) Schmitt; grandchildren, Sam, Caity, John (Abby), Sarah, and Kyle; and her great-grandchild Sophia.

Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Kay was known for her cheerful outlook on life, quick to share a smile or a joke. A skilled bridge player, she embraced life with her favorite saying, “all is well,” and deeply cherished her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on May 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Center For Spiritual Living, 12875 Fee Fee Rd.
