Linda Kay Abbott

In Loving Memory of Linda Kay Abbott
November 29, 1956 – May 27, 2025

Linda Kay Abbott, of Florissant, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 27,2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring kindness. Born on November 29, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, Linda was the beloved daughter of Helen Marie Jones/Abbott and Robert Delayne Abbott. She made Florissant her home for over 50 years, touching the lives of many in her community and beyond.

In her younger years, Linda proudly owned and operated Tigers Lounge in Florissant, where she built lifelong friendships and created a welcoming space that became a cherished local gathering spot. Her warm presence and generous spirit made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Later, Linda continued to share her compassion and bright personality at HDIS, where she formed deep bonds with her colleagues and brought light to the workplace every day.

Among her greatest joys in life was her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren, Fate Christenson and Chase Stenger, were the center of her world. Linda embraced every moment with them, showering them with unconditional love, laughter, and life lessons that will live on through them.

Linda had a deep connection to nature, especially the water. An accomplished water skier in her youth, she felt most at peace at the beach, where she could relax under the sun and listen to the waves. Her love for the outdoors was matched only by the love she shared with her family and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Susan (Terry) Roscoe, Robert (Stacy) Abbott, and Michael (Christine) Abbott, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moudy’s Bar & Grill, a fitting place for remembering the joy and warmth she brought to so many.

Linda will be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her vibrant spirit, generous heart, and joyful presence will be missed beyond measure but cherished forever in our hearts.
