Maureen Ann WeathersNeal (née Collins), 66
August 14, 1958 – June 2, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maureen Ann WeathersNeal (née Collins), who
departed this life on June 2, 2025, in O’Fallon, Missouri, after a six-year battle with small cell
lung cancer. Born on August 14, 1958, in Albany, Kentucky, Maureen lived a life marked by
love, resilience, and selfless service.
She spent her early years in Glasgow Village, Missouri, before moving with her family to St.
James, where she graduated from John F. Hodge High School in 1977. After high school, she
relocated to the St. Louis area, where she built a meaningful life and careers.
With a deep sense of duty and compassion, Maureen served her community as a 911 dispatcher,
trainer, and supervisor—first with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and later with
the St. Charles County Dispatch and Alarm Agency, for over 20 years. Her calm voice and
steady presence provided comfort and direction to countless people during their most difficult
moments.
Maureen was the beloved wife of Lester Neal III. Together they shared 20 wonderful years of
marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Bridget (Brian) Bianchi (née Weathers); cherished
grandchildren, Addison and Anthony Bianchi; her dear sister, Sharon Collins; and “sista” Debbie
Lovelace of Albany, KY. She is also survived by her two beloved dogs, George and Vivian, who
brought her joy and comfort every day. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and
Gwendolyn (Peggy) Collins.
Maureen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, quick wit, and the strength with which
she faced life’s challenges. She fought cancer with remarkable courage, dignity, and grace. Her
life was a gift to those who knew her, and her legacy of compassion, service, and love will live
on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception
of Dardenne Catholic Church, 7701 Towne Square Avenue, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368. A
Celebration of Life and lite lunch will follow in the Parish Hall.
Maureen’s ashes will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in a private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The BackStoppers, Inc.
(https://backstoppers.org/) or Lucky Chance Rescue (https://luckychancerescue.com/)—two
causes close to Maureen’s heart.
