Steve passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born in St. Louis, MO on Sept 28th, 1957.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Barbara Morris, and brother-in-law Ivan Diedrich.

Survived by his loving family, ex-wife Sheri Morris and children Jason (Ike) Morris, Jeff Morris, Patricia Hardester (niece/daughter). Grandchildren Clarissa, Naomi, Jeff Jr., Josiah, Isaac, Noah, Seth, Ethan, Gavin, Brooke, Aiden, Liam and Willow.

Lovingly remembered by brothers Glen (Julie) Morris, Jim (Kathi) Morris, sisters Julie (the late Ivan) Diedrich, and Debbie Heacock. Dear friend Jen Rieker, who we thank for all her loving care, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends and co-workers.

Our beloved Steve passed away peacefully at his sister Debbie’s house, surrounded with the love of his family.

Steve loved family events, spending time at the family farm especially driving the tractor for the many hayrides each year, riding the 4 wheelers and bonfires. He enjoyed fishing with the grandchildren, camping, canoeing, and traveling with his family. He would drive the boat, pulling skiers and tubers enjoying every moment. Steve loved BBQ, beer and mom’s chocolate pie. His favorite holidays were 4th of July (fireworks!) and Christmas. He always was ready to Get Down on the Dance Floor!

From an early age, Steve was fascinated by engines, and he worked on cars, boats, cranes, anything with a motor. He saved many family members and friends when we’d have car/boat troubles. Steve was an honest, hardworking man and was always willing to help anyone. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Steve will be on July 13th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Service will begin at 2:00PM at O’Fallon VFW Hall, 8500 Veterans Memorial Parkway, O’Fallon, MO 63366. BBQ, sides, soda & tea will be provided, BYOB.
