Margaret “Peg” Moore
Margaret “Peg” Moore passed away peacefully on June 23rd in St Louis, aged 80.Born and raised in Connecticut, Peg earned a degree in education from Danbury State College, married and raised two children while indulging in her lifelong passion for animals. She worked as a veterinary technician, volunteered annually at the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska and was a member of Gateway Sled Dog Club in St Louis. She also fostered and found homes for abandoned dogs.
She and husband David, who passed in 2021, enjoyed their shared interest in archaeology with trips to ancient sites in Greece, Turkey and Egypt. She could also be found on weekends in the family season seats at Busch Stadium cheering on her Cardinals.
She is survived by two sons, Eric and Stephen, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests supporting her chosen charity for 2025 Jailbreak Husky Rescue. https://www.

A precious friend is walking the streets of heaven today and praying for us all, all the while with a big smile on her face and love in her heart. The world is a little better because a Peg was here. She will be missed so much.

Peg was just an amazing person. She was a true friend and lover of Siberians and Malamutes. I will miss being able to chat with her on Facebook. She had been having many health struggles but more so her loss of being to be as active physically in her rescue efforts. I hope she has found peace and is with Fuzzy Butt and all the amazing animals and people that have passed before her. Hugs to her family who are morning her loss
