Jean Hall Munson

Jean Hall Munson (1935-2025)

Jean Hall Munson (born Jean Mildred Hall), 90, died peacefully in her sleep on June 24,
2025 at her home in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Jean was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 7, 1935 to Herald and Mildred Hall
(nee Hulse). She met her future husband, Robert E. Munson, in high school, and they
married on July 31, 1954. After this Jean moved with her husband, blooming
everywhere she was planted. They lived in Hawaii, California, Connecticut, Virginia,
Washington, Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. After Bob’s death in 2014,                                                                                                                                                                                                              she moved again to Webster Groves, Missouri in 2015 to live across the street from her
daughter and son-in-law. Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-
grandmother; a social worker, an inspiring educator; a Master Gardener and Christmas
tree farmer; an artist in media ranging from watercolor to quilting, an avid genealogist, a
devoted member of her church congregations; a lifelong learner and world traveler; and
a warm, wise, and beautiful soul who trusted in Jesus as her Savior. She touched many
lives and will be deeply missed.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years; and her
daughter-in-law Christine Munson. She is survived by her siblings, David (Ann) Hall and
Betsy Marvin; her children, Laurel (James) Lowe and Craig Munson; her grandchildren,
Cameron Munson, Jennifer (Allen) Cook, Christopher (Julia Yarwood) Lowe, Tobias
(Caroline) Lowe, Avery (Ryan Cuscaden) Lowe;  nine great-grandchildren and many
nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Old Orchard Church, 639 Amelia Avenue, Webster
Groves on Saturday, July 26th at 10:30 AM with a luncheon to follow.
