Glenn Michael “Mike” Schneider

Glenn Michael “Mike” Schneider, 73, of Imperial, MO, passed away at his home on Friday, July
18th, 2025.

Born on October 8th, 1951, in St. Louis City, to George Christ Schneider and Catherine Grace
(Casagrande). Mike was a beloved husband, devoted father, sibling and loyal friend to many
who had the pleasure to know him.

Glenn graduated from Herculaneum High School in 1969, received his Associates Degree from
Jefferson College immediately after and was drafted and entered the United States Army in
March, 1971. After spending nearly 18 months stationed in Germany, he returned home in
March, 1973. Upon his return, he worked a few different jobs before eventually joining the
Machinists Union and became an auto mechanic. On August 29th, 1975, he married Brenda
Gale (Groves) and had 3 children: Jeremy Michael, Kate Michelle, and Jacob Thomas. They
were divorced in 2004. On September 19th, 2015, he married Joana Marie Schneider
(Gontinas) where they both resided close to his childhood homestead near Antonia, MO.

Throughout his life, his unwavering kindness, strength, and quiet wisdom touched all that knew
him. He is survived by 3 siblings, Paul Schneider (Peggy), Ruth Hamilton, Barbara Pullen
(David), his wife Joana, 3 children: Jeremy Schneider (Jamie), Kate Callahan (Brad), Jacob
Schneider (Sheryl), 6 grandchildren: Grace, Alyson, Lainie, Reese, Wyatt, Jayce, and Kinlee, 7
nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
mother, Catherine, and father, George.

He will be remembered for his warm heart and witty sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for the Fall and announced to close friends and family via
Social Media.

    Sorry for your loss , it was a blessing to know Glenn and his family. He will remain in our memories of the good times we had, rest in peace. Our prayers go out to his family for their loss.
