Randall M. Burns

Randall M. Burns died peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a 13-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 5th at 11:00 pm. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Walter and Marjorie Burns and his brother Carmen Dale.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Burns; daughter Emily Elizabeth Leary, (Michael); daughter Molly Marie Beasley (Mitchell); and five cherished grandchildren: Warner Alexander, age fifteen; Corinne Christine, age eleven; Gregory William, age seven; Juliet June, age seven; and Cooper Mitchell, age four. He also leaves behind his siblings, Mari Lee, Gerald Burns, and Debbie Read, each of whom carries forward a piece of his humor, faith, and generosity into the world.

Those who knew him will remember not only the man he was, but the way he made them feel: seen, valued, and loved. And in that way, Randall’s legacy lives on—in every corny joke retold, every door held open, and every act of grace given freely. His consistent faith, willingness to share the gospel, and abounding joy will be remembered by many.
