Patricia Ann (Schneider) Baez

Patricia Ann (Schneider) Baez passed away peacefully in her home in Fenton, MO on July 28, 2025 at the age of 65 after a hard fought battle with ALS.

Patty was born and raised in the West County area of St. Louis to Leroy and Marjorie Schneider. She lived in the St. Louis area her whole life. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She had a fun loving, caring, sweet personality with a memorable laugh. She was an open book, a loyal friend, and was unafraid to talk to anybody. Patty was very hardworking as a devoted mother, owned and operated a small residential cleaning business, and later became a caregiver for elderly patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She loved gardening and animals; lived for music and dancing; was passionate about our country, many causes and was active in efforts to prevent human trafficking.

She is survived by her children Phil Kiefer, Corrine Hellwig (Matt), Julian Baez, and Darien Baez; and her sister Cindy Fitzgibbon, along with her three grandchildren (Adeline and Charlotte Hellwig, and Jordan Baez), many nieces, nephews, and her extended family that loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Steve.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date and will be announced on her family’s social media.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her name to the ALS Association or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
