Mary Elizabeth Heitert (née Hubert)

Mary Elizabeth Heitert (née Hubert) of Florissant, Missouri, passed away September 17, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She spent many years working as a Nurse at General Motors and loved nothing more than gathering with family and friends at her Innsbrook cabin.  Family was everything to her, and she, along with her three sisters, was a driving force in bringing everyone together at least once a year. From across the country, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the four sisters would gather at Innsbrook for “Kids Week,” a tradition that fostered lifelong friendships among the cousins regardless of distance.

Mary is survived by sisters Annie Nolfo, Kathy (JT) Chenowith and Janet Postlewait; her sons Steve (Kim) Heitert and Mark (Mary) Heitert; grandchildren Jennifer (Matt) Telmer, Michael (Kim) Heitert, Samantha (Dominic) Ribaudo, Brian Heitert, Matt (Lauren) McAlister, Kelsie (Seth) Turner; and great-grandchildren Noah, Luke and Ben Telmer, Trace and Addie Heitert.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Sophia Hubert and her granddaughter, Jessica McAlister.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Mary’s legacy of love and family togetherness will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.

My mother will be missed by so many. I don’t think she ever met someone that she didn’t treat like family and the outpouring of love from so many who’s life she touched has been humbling. Thanks for all the support we have received. Mom lived life her way and the last week being surrounded by family and countless stories has been a huge help. He legacy lives on in her family and friends. God Bless.

Thank you Steve. A truly heartfelt tribute to Mary, our beautiful sister who kept our family together. Because of her we all know and love each other, and spend time with each other, no matter how far away we may be. This is an awesome legacy she has left us, and I see it continuing right now in the great grandchildren. I am continuously awed by this enormous gift she has left us. I will miss her. I do miss her. So very much.
