Wallace Lee Strickland
  "Lee Strickland" , age 57, died peacefully at Parkside Towers in St . Louis on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:15 PM.  Mercifully, Lee passed away relatively quickly due to complications brought on by a pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed only two weeks ago.  Son of Richard Earl Strickland and Georgia (nee) Sutton, brother of Larry, Ken(Michelle), Sandra McMahon(Mike), Laura Galati(Vince), and friend to many to include Chris, Todd, and Kathrine.  Lee was a Master Carpenter and tuckpointer who left his mark on many homes & businesses throughout the St Louis area.  Lee loved spending time with friends over a good meal and beverage, as well as the outdoors, bicycling, fishing, and rooting for the Rams.  Lee, according to his friends, had a big heart of service and was always ready to drop whatever he was doing to help others.  Lee, you are missed, and you will always have a place in our hearts.
 
There will be a memorial celebration of Lee`s life set for Friday night at Big Daddy`s in Soulard-1000 Sidney St(314-771-3066).  Due to their tender, compassionate care, Lee would have appreciated any donations, in lieu of flowers, to go to Barnes Jewish Christian Hospice Care @ BJCHospice.org or 8300 Eager Rd Suite 500A, St Louis, Mo 63144.

    Wally was my cousin. His mother is my aunt. We spent our youth and teenage years enjoying time on the Jack’s Fork river in Eminence, MO. I haven’t seen him since we were teenagers. I remember that he was very handsome and looked like the tv star Lee Majors at that time. I am very saddened to hear of his death. I wish his family and friends my sincere hope that you will find some comfort in dealing with your loss through the celebration of life that is planned for Wally.

    Wally is my first cousin,our mothers were sisters. He was such a sweet little boy when we played at the Current River and this lovely remembrance indicates time did not change his friendliness and generousity. Our condolances to friends and family.

    We had agreat time in Boy Scouts.I told every body that we went to CANADA>Now, Im not sure.Any way he was a great guy!GOD bewith the family!
