Steven Randolph Miller

Steven Randolph Miller, 65 of Foley, MO passed away on Friday October 17th after a short and unexpected battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and love.

Steve was born to a large loving family that embraced get togethers, holidays and music. He grew up in Overland, MO and later lived in Illinois and Texas for several years. Steve was an over the road truck driver taking after his father, older brothers and uncles who worked for Bee-Line Trucking Co. He enjoyed his time on the road seeing beautiful places like the Colorado mountains and listening to his favorite road tunes. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding Harleys tinkering with old cars and playing the drums. Steve was a generous and kind man who was always looking out for others. He was the judgement free zone for many of his family and always said, “I just listen.” He was indeed a good listener and would always lend his ear to the struggles of others while keeping his own close to the vest. Steve never complained and despite his health struggles, his outlook on life was one of positivity and living for today. After retiring, Steve enjoyed many trips with family to Eureka Springs, Colorado, New Orleans and Lake of the Ozarks. He was the best DJ and music connoisseur at family barbeques, often playing the deep track classic rock tunes that others had forgotten about. He was a man of grit and pride, but also a gentleman with a grateful heart who loved his family. Steve accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior and was baptized in 2024 among friends and family in the Ozarks.

Steve is preceded in death by his wife Alana, parents Clifford and Patricia Miller, daughter Elizabeth Becker, brothers Mike and Gary Miller, and sister and brother in law Frances (Ralph) Schneidewind. He leaves behind his daughter Jackie (Jeremy) Frey, son Kevin Seago, 3 grandchildren Violet, Abraham and Isla, brother Timmy (Betsy) Miller, sisters Karen Miller (Chuck Moore), Sherry (Gary) Ernst, Patricia (John) Gibbons, partner Kim Blackwell and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Steve’s charm, laid back personality and presence in his family will be so very missed by all who loved him. Per his wishes, his family and friends will turn up the music and “keep it light” in his honor.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 8th from 2-7pm.

I’m so sorry for this loss in the Miller family. Steve was a man of few words and a man of much wisdom. His wit could turn a dull day into a day of laughter. He stood firm on the ground behind his family. He will be missed by many friends and family.
    Until we meet again…

No one was ready to say good bye to uncle Steve or Liz. We will all miss him greatly! God didn’t promise and easy life on earth, but eternal life, glory, and redemption in heaven. I see you and Liz in my thoughts everyday and will see you in the other side! Prayers for Jackie and her family.
