Lou Ann Barczykowski
Lou Ann Barczykowski (née Powers), aged 70, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Lou Ann was born on January 6, 1955, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Beuford and Anna Mae Powers.
A warm and dedicated woman, Lou Ann poured her heart into her family and community. Her professional life included working in general merchandise at National Supermarket, in health and beauty at Schnucks Supermarket, and later serving up smiles as a lunch lady for the Affton School District.
Lou Ann was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, sewing, and crafting. A truly civic-minded individual, she also dedicated countless hours as a volunteer at local election polling stations.
Lou Ann’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving family. She is survived by her brother Scott (Loretta), devoted daughters, Natalie Buss (Brad) and Kelly Barczykowski, and her six adoring grandchildren: Brock, Quinn, Vaughn, Stella, Tate, and Audra.
She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews: Jerry Dean Powers (Ellen), Terry Powers, Christie Powers, Rick Rosales, Carrie Rosales, Clay Powers (Tara), and Briana Powers. She was a beloved great-aunt to Renee Powers, Michael Powers, Mandy Ginsberg, Brandy Powers, Jerry Dean Powers Jr., Melissa Powers, Matthew Powers, Candace Hubbard, Bailey Young, Leyla Rosales, and Mila Powers.
Lou Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Beuford and Anna Mae Powers, her brother Jeffrey Powers, and her nephew Doug Wilson.
Service Details
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Dardenne Presbyterian Church, 7400 S. Outer Rd. 364, O’Fallon, MO 63368, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.

I remember her with joy. She was always happy and up to mischief. She was seven years older than I was, but I remember thinking that I wanted to be like her when I grew up. To my teenage heart that was the biggest compliment I could give to anyone.
She will be missed!
