Nancy McGeiver Smith, 88, passed in peace at her home in St. Louis on October 4, 2025.

Born October 3, 1937 in North Castle, New York and raised in Piggott, Arkansas, Nancy earned her nursing license in 1974 from Meramec Community College and a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois in 1977. She loved global travel with friends and family, enjoyed visiting friends and relatives overseas, and raised sheep on her Perry County farm before retiring to St. Louis.  Preceded in death by her parents, William P. McGeiver and Antoinette J. McGeiver, her spouse, Robert “Smitty” Ewell Smith, and her son, Stuart Mark Smith.

Nancy is survived by her partner Tom Hahs, son Michael Smith, daughters- in-law, Stephanie Smith and Charlotte K. Logan Smith, 5 grandchildren as well as four great grandchildren. She will be missed by the Smiths, the Hahs family and by her close friends.

A private memorial gathering will be held in St. Louis.
