Terry

Terry Wayne Dankel

January 13, 1952 – November 15, 2025

Suddenly taken, and now in the arms of his Savior.  Terry was a devoted husband to his wife, Debbie, for almost 52 years. In addition, he leaves behind a brother, Donald (Brenda), and two sisters: Karen (Gary), and Janet (Jim); Brother-in-law Tim (Mickie), Sister-in-law Sandy. Also a great uncle to his nieces and nephews, as well as a wonderful friend to many.

Terry was a fabulous “dog dad” to his beloved Dachshunds. He loved photography, nature, animals and birds. He was very talented and created beautiful barn quilts and other items. He was able to fix almost anything, and very handy to have around. His interests were many; in addition to his photography, he loved WWII and Aviation History and playing Mahjongg. He and Debbie loved to travel, and were fortunate to be able to enjoy their retirement by visiting wonderful places.

Terry was a member of Kress Farms, where he monitored the blue bird population for the Missouri Bluebird Society. He was also a member of the German Cultural Society, and a lifetime member of the Battle of the Bulge Auxiliary group.

All who knew Terry will miss him terribly. His dry wit and sense of humor were appreciated and embraced by all. He had a great laugh, and a very big heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Midwest Dachshund Rescue would be very much appreciated. Send donations to 1036 Seneca Drive; Crown Point, IN 46307.

Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date.
