Mike graduated from Northwest High School and served in the Navy in the Vietnam era. After the Navy he attended Control Data Institute.

Mike and Carol married in 1975.

Mike spent most of his working years at Bi-State Development Agency/Metro. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing, computer gaming and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Carol (nee Evertowski), his son Adam (Nora Schaefer), his daughter Susan Pelizzaro (Jeff), his sister Carol Tracy (Jim) and grandchildren Sam, Kara, Riese, Leah and Grant.
