Bettie H. Hill
Bettie Hazel (Kronable) Hill, age 93, of Town and Country, Missouri, passed away on November 18, 2025. Born April 24, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Dorris (Meers) and Boyse Kronable. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Robert (Bob) Hill, and her daughter Sharon (Hill) Corbett.
Bettie attended St. Louis Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Fairview High School, Class of 1949. On June 6, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Bob Hill. Their early married life began at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, after Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon returning to St. Louis, Bettie worked as an Avon lady and bookkeeper, while also actively volunteering for the Girl Scouts, local grade school, and church.
Her greatest joys were her family and family gatherings. She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Hill) Stout (spouse Steven); granddaughters Rebecca Hill (partner Steve Ralston) and Laney (Stout) Lazier (spouse Ryan); grandsons Christopher Hill and Nathan Stout (spouse Megan); great-grandchildren Kaylee (Koch) Jordan (spouse Will), Raegan Lazier, Emersen Lazier, and Henley Stout; great-great-grandchildren Ryker Koch, Karsyn Jordan, and Josie Jordan; and six nieces and nephews and their families. Bettie loved the outdoors, painting and crafts, and traveling.
She and Bob especially enjoyed fishing and gold panning, with a long-standing rumor that she always caught the biggest fish and panned the most gold! They also cherished their time at the family farm in Dexter, Missouri. Together, they embarked on many cruises, visiting numerous ports of call around the globe. They were members of Wentzville United Methodist Church.
The family will host a brief visitation from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri, with the memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, they ask that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Association or Wentzville Methodist Church.
