Lynn DeGrave (nee Brandau)
Lynn Carol DeGrave (nee Brandau) passed away peacefully on the morning of December 1st at The Estates of Hidden Lake care facility at the age of 74.
She is survived by her sister Deborah Cusick, brother Robert Brandau, son Chris DeGrave, daughters Leigh Pack and Stephanie Daugherty, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
She served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as her personal counter protest in support of the country. That was always her most prized time and memories outside of her family. She was a wonderful Mother, Mentor, Role Model and Friend to her children. Her children’s friends. People in the church. Random people she met. In reality, if you held still too long in her vicinity you were going to get adopted. While a normally quiet person, once she met you, she would do anything in her capacity for you. She always gave of herself freely with a generous heart and always with fierce loyalty.
She doesn’t want a funeral service with a bunch of sad people moping around. She wants a celebration of joy that she is now at home in Heaven. As we are simply human and grieving, we will gather in her memory on her 75th birthday to honor her and her wishes. Then, there will be joy, merriment, and celebration as she wished and as she truly deserves.

Lynn the mother of my best friend Chris was always very kind. Even when us boys lot a little rowdy she was the calm one. She was always a very caring person and would definitely help a stranger if needed. She will be missed by all that knew her. R.I.P. Lynn.
Sincerely
Dan
