Jack Samuel Gagliano

Jack Samuel Gagliano, 76, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in the comforting presence of his cherished daughter, Sarah, and other dear family members. Born to Mary and Joseph Gagliano Oct. 30, 1949.

Jack honorably served his country as a medic in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, a decision he made right out of high school without telling his parents. Upon his return, he began a long and successful career with the Floor Layers Union, from which he retired at the age of 64.

Jack found great joy in caring for feral cats; it was his “happy place” to ensure over 20 at a time found warmth and food, often personally funding the care, spaying, and neutering of cats, taking in those with birth defects.

Jack is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sarah Gagliano, and Mary Gagliano, his ex- wife of 28 years. He is also survived by his dear siblings: Josie Fredricks (Dave), Lucy Faria (Richard), Pam Drake (Chuck), Debbie Suchomski (Marty), and Frank. Jack leaves behind many nieces and nephews, with a special mention of gratitude for the help provided by Dan and Ken Mensio, Mark and Mona Fredericks, and Daniel and Cassondra Drake.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joseph Gagliano, and his siblings: the late Betty Mensio-Trendle (Joe), Mike (Shirley), Tony, Joe, Marie Young (Ed), Victoria Hartman (Bob), and Mickey.

Cremation is being handled by St. Louis Cremation. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of St. Louis Cremation, 320 Jungermann Rd., St. Peters, Mo. 63376, on December 15, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm.

I am blessed that Jack was my brother. He was a great brother to me, brother-in-law to my husband, and an uncle to our children. I’ll always and forever love, miss, and remember Jack in so many ways. Jack will always hold a special place in my heart. ♥️
Love, Always and Forever Jack’s Sister, Pam
