Arvil Edward McDaniel

Arvil Edward McDaniel passed away peacefully at home on December 4th surrounded by his family at the age of 85. He was born in St. Louis on December 19th 1939.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Toni McDaniel. Remembered and missed by his children, Kerry McDaniel (Michelle Marchicelli), Lynne Sanderson (Brett Sanderson), Jeff McDaniel, Patricia Smith (Earl Smith), Randy McDaniel (Cathleen McDaniel), Dayna McDaniel (Roberto Cruzado), Nicholas McDaniel. Forever missed by his many beloved grandchildren. Also missed by Betty Leonard and his many dear cousins and loving in laws and many friends throughout the years.
Arvil’s greatest passion was his family. He cherished the role of father and grandfather above all else.
Arvil spent over 40 years as a truck driver, known to all as Mac. He took great pride in working hard and had an exceptional work ethic. In his younger days Arvil served for four years in the US Army reserves at Fort Lee Virginia. He enjoyed being a scout leader and led his troops on amazing camping adventures.
There were many times Arvil could be found fishing at the lake. He loved to plant and tend his garden or just be outside watching his birds, who he never let go hungry.
He loved to find a trinket or antique he could collect and was often found tinkering away on a project. Anyone who met him knew Arvil was blessed with the gift of gab and a master of wit and could while away hours telling stories. His stories were never just stories but often lessons in life. His strength, charm, wit, silliness and boundless love will be dearly missed.
