Orin Silvio Reed Jr., 83, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025.

Born in Kokomo, Indiana, to Orin and Lucille Reed, Orin proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He went on to enjoy a long career at General Motors, retiring as a Jouneyman Tinsmith.

Orin was a devoted husband to Anna Reed for 63 wonderful years. He was a loving and compassionate father, brother, and grandfather—always steady, gentle, and full of quiet strength. Family meant everything to him, though he was known to get delightfully spirited and competitive during card games, bringing laughter and lively banter to every gathering.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Reed; children Andrea and Richard (son in law)  Wilkerson , Anthony and Marie (daughter in law) Reed, and Alan and Irene (daughter in law) Reed; grandchildren Michael Sutherland, Lyndsi Overton, Juanita Lance, James Reed, Danielle Doggett, Sara Reed and Toni Marie Reed; and siblings Devena Reed, Delonna Kaufman, Dion Reed, and Doreen Howell.

Orin was preceded in death by his sister Donetta Nygord and brother David Reed, as well as his parents.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends when they are finalized.

Orin will be deeply missed, but his kindness, love, and playful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was, and always will be, the heart of his family.
