Voelker, John L. fortified with Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, Nov 29, 2011.  True companion and husband for 60 years of Rosemarie Voelker (nee Saner); loving father of John S, Joan (John) Rice, Christopher (Judy Koen); late, Paul, (Jeannie), Steve (Doris), Carol (Andy) Amir-Fazli and Mike (Rachel); beloved grandfather of Elizabeth, Carrie, Kate, Jack, Christie, Matthew, Michael, Violet and Oliver; dear great grandfather of Ian, Eliot, Olivia, Lillian, Oscar and Eve; brother of Virginia Bowles (Owensboro, KY); our dear, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.  Services: Sat, Dec 3  Visitation: 9:30 A.M. followed by Memorial Mass: 10:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 100 N. Meramec Ave, Clayton, MO, 63105.  Immediately following ceremony, a reception for friends and family will be held in St. Joe’s Parish Hall (beneath church).  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Vincent DePaul Society would be appreciated.  Born Dec 8, 1926, in West Point, KY, Mr. Voelker served in WW II, Navy.  An alumnus of SLU, A&S ’51, John was an ardent Billiken fan, talented engineer at McDonnell Douglas, musician, sailor, artisan, and champion of the disadvantaged.  His devotion to RM, love of family, unwavering principles, and steadfast faith will be his legacy
