George Michael Johns
George Michael Johns, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 26, 2025.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a friend to many. He lived his life with a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor that brought comfort and smiles to those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Johns of 52 years; his children, April & Michael Tapen and Olivia Johns; his grandchildren, Beth Tapen, Autumn Tapen, Scarlet
McGauly & Quinn McGauly; and many extended family members and friends.
He loved time spent together, simple moments, and watching his children and grandchildren grow. He’ll be remembered for his kindness, his strong Christian faith, and the warmth he brought into a room just by being there.
In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services will be held. He will be cremated, and the family will celebrate his life privately.
George was a wonderful man always had a smile and a kind word to say. He truly will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
Cindy and Family, We didn’t know Mike had passed away until just now (2-23-26), or we would have acknowledged our sympathies to you sooner. We hadn’t seen him sitting outside in his chair and thought he might be in a nursing home. Mike was a good neighbor, always friendly and ready to have a chat. I would visit with him and talk about just anything. He and George would talk about being in the army. We will miss our visits with Mike and feel fortunate to have known him.
