Steven Rudolph

Steven Paul Rudolph, age 66, died peacefully December 24, 2025, due to complications of ALS. He left this world surrounded by his immediate family including his wife, Nancy Melsheimer Rudolph, his daughter, Shelby Marielle Rudolph (Jackman Eschenroeder) and son Cameron Paul Rudolph (Lisa Bell) all of whom loved him deeply and will miss his steady guidance and gentle encouragement in their lives.

He will also be remembered fondly by nephews, nieces, sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, and friends.

Steve enjoyed a decade of retirement after working at Monsanto as an IT Systems Manager. He had many hobbies including beekeeping, experiencing live music, traveling to new and familiar places, and moving his body whether running, swimming, or walking in the park. He was a life-long fan of St. Louis Blues hockey and was thrilled to see the boys win the Stanley Cup in 2019.

Having witnessed his mother, aunt and brother suffer this devastating illness, it was Steve’s final wish to donate his body for research conducted by Saint Louis University in the hope of finding a cure for ALS.

The family would like to thank the St. Louis University ALS clinic for its support, and would also like to express sincere gratitude to Dolan Memory Care – Calais House – for care and comfort in Steve’s final months.

Memorial contributions may be made to: The ALS Association www.als.org or Stray Rescue www.strayrescue.org

Steve chose to be cremated with ashes returned to his favorite spots in nature. A celebration of life gathering will be held in spring of 2026.
