Robert “Bob” “Doc” Charles Shissler of St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025 at the age of 80.

Bob was born on May 21, 1944 in Medford, Oregon to Robert and Lillian Shissler. They moved to Canton, Ohio shortly after his birth where he grew up.  He graduated from Canton Lincoln High School in 1963. He was preceded in death by his sister Caryl Ann LaVergne.

Bob is survived by his wife Janet Metheny and his son Clint Metheny.

Bob loved motorcycles, classic cars, and dogs. Some of his best memories were coaching Clint in baseball, basketball and soccer and participating in numerous Boy Scouts events with him. Bob never met a stranger and loved to start a conversation with anyone.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
