John Burel Wilkinson, Jr. passed away on December 6, 2011, at home in Fenton, Missouri, at the age of 41 after a three year battle with colon cancer.

After graduation from Vatterott College, he held several positions in the technical support area, the last six years as In-house Technical Support with Edward Jones in St. Louis. He enjoyed a quiet life with work and friends.

He was born July 17, 1970 in Dekalb, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Cleaver, formerly of Dekalb, Illinois, and his maternal grandmother, Grace Marbutt of Dekalb, Illinois, and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Leonora Wilkinson of Genoa, Illinois. Also an aunt, Helen Lovig of Dekalb, and an uncle, Donald Bray of Sycamore.

He is survived by his parents, John and Karen Wilkinson of Fenton, Missouri; two sisters, Diane Willis of Dothan, Alabama, and Barbara Lalla of Kansas City, Missouri; and one brother, H. Eugene Coleman of Cebu City in the Philippines. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

John has requested that he be cremated and that there be no funeral or memorial service. Those who are to can make a donation to the Cancer Society, or a local cancer program, in his name.
