James Hebisen
James passed away on Dec. 21, 2011 at the age of 86.
Jim was a devoted husband of over 68 years to his wife Irene Hebisen. Jim was a loving father to 6 children. Mike, Steve (Becky), Tom (Darla), Judie, Sandy (Al), and John. Jim was a devoted grandfather to 29 grandchildren and 23 great grandchlidren.
Jim served in WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was also a proud member of the Teamsters Union for over 30 years. Jim had a unbelievable gift of gab and never met a stranger. He was a master with slick one liners. Jim’s fondest memories were of his youth in south city playing ball with his friends in the Wolves Club. He will be remembered for his warm hospitatlity and open house to family and friends. Jim is now in heaven, no longer in pain, with his mother and grandmother, who have welcomed him with open arms.

I am so sorry for your loss. Indeed, Jim did have the gift of gab and I enjoyed conversations with him when he would visit you, Sandy. It’s never easy to lose the people we love, but it is especially hard during the holidays. I pray for a sense of peace for all of you as you gather together for this holiday and in the days, weeks and months ahead while the feeling of loss is so fresh. God bless you all.

Years ago I used to love going to the basement with Jim and listening to old records and shooting pool and talking about sports or whatever came up.
Jim always had a “Sporting News” for me when I came over.
I hadn’t seen Jim in many years but that didn’t matter.
We started talking and laughing just like we used to.
Jim was easy to talk to and fun to be around.
I wish all of you peace during this time of sadness and grief.
grandpa jim was my great grandpa and i miss him dearly my mom had a really close relationship with him and she misses aswell i remember i would sit on his lap and he would sing me the best songs everyone misses till this day and i love him so much…….
