
Elizabeth Ann (Bosch) Casey
fortified with the Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026 with family by her side.
Born November 17, 1936 to Anthony and Emmeline Bosch in Newman, Illinois, Bette grew up on the family farm in Douglas County, Illinois, and was the youngest of 6 children. Bette graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield, Illinois, and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Mary Hickel Gombold and Gertrude Fox, her brothers, Joseph Bosch, Bernard Bosch, and John Bosch, her husband George, and grandson Matt Zapf Jr. Bette was the beloved wife of George P. Casey for 64 yrs.
Bette’s life centered around her faith and family. Bette loved to play tennis, read, work in her garden, cheer her children and grandchildren at their sporting events, and care for her family and many dear friends. She spent countless hours serving her parish family at Holy Redeemer and later at St Anthony’s Church in Camdenton, Missouri. Bette was a long time volunteer for Meals on Wheels while they lived in Webster Groves.
Bette is survived by her children: Angie (Tony Kennedy), Christy, Karie (Steve Helberg), Patrick (Jason Rohl), and Matt (Jen). Bette’s cherished grandchildren include Tom, Michael (Hillary), Betsy (Will Tompkins), Mary (Jan-Niklas), Ryan, and Matt Kennedy; (Melissa McKittrick), Brian (Carolyn), Patricia (Justin Mack), Caitlin, and Terry Zapf; and Catherine and Anna Casey. She was the proud great-grandmother of Arthur Zapf, and James and Charles Kennedy.
Visitation and Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 31, at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 11910 Eddie & Park Road, Crestwood, MO 63126. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
