Ronald “Eric” Schaefer, 66, of Warrenton, MO passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026. He was born on July 8, 1959 in Colorado. Eric was the son of Ronald E and Wilma J (Larson) Schaefer, who preceded him in death.

Eric is survived by his wife of 43 years, Miriam (Gardner) Schaefer; his children Greg (Kristen) Schaefer and Audrey (Jason) Nicholas; grandchildren Katelyn, Evelyn, Allison, Grant, Maddie, and Levi; sisters, Lydia Enloe, Lisa (Barry) Moffitt and Rhonda (Kirk) Peery.

He was an avid outdoorsman who was passionate about hunting and fishing. Eric took great pride in growing his vegetable garden, trying new recipes and grilling with family and friends. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

He will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the wonderful life he shared with them and the great memories they will carry forward. Eric will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on March 21st at Grace Bible Church, 25445 State Hwy 47, Warrenton, MO 63383. Visitation at 10am with Service to follow at 11am. Memorial donations in Eric’s name can be made to:
