Cynthia “Cindy” Sachtleben

Cynthia “Cindy” Sachtleben passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, following a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Cindy was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Lydia Hines and Dustin Hines and his wife, Sarah; and by her beloved grandchildren, Landon (Lydia), Peyton, and Logan (Dustin), who brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her father, Roland; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Stewart and Sue, Sanford and Luciann, and Kris and Tricia, and Nancy; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Cindy enjoyed a long and meaningful career as an attorney and carried a deep passion for the law throughout her life. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she treasured every moment spent with family and friends. She loved being part of the St. Louis Elks Lodge #9 and took great joy in the activities and fellowship she found there. Cindy also cherished her time with friends at Rick’s, where she made many lasting memories.

She found peace and happiness at the beach—a place that never failed to bring a smile to her face and calm to her heart. We are so grateful that she has traveled extensively with her family and friends.

Cindy will be remembered for her strength, her love for her family, and the lasting impact she had on those around her.

Per Cindy’s wishes, a celebration of Life will take place at the St. Louis Elks Lodge #9 on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 2-6pm.

I am so sorry for everyone that loved Cindy as much as I loved her. She was my best friend of over 50 years and we were each other’s sister, that we never had. Brothers, we both had a passel of those! So many stories I can’t tell you, both of us always ready for an adventure!

Thank you, Cindy, for all the visits down here in Florida where we laughed and had so much fun! I am missing you every day.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

I will see her again in heaven, just not now! Xoxo
