James Townes, age 81, of Florissant MO , passed away peacefully on 04/12/2026 from Cancer. Born on 05/21/1944 in St. Louis, MO.

Navy veteran. Married to Beverly Townes for 49 years. TSA agent. Videographer, avid boxing fan, loved to perfect his BBQing techniques. Devoted to all his fur babies.

James was preceded in death by Rowena Lawrey – mother Sidney Townes. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Townes, Vance, his children, David and Jamie Townes, Six granddaughters, three great grandchildren.

Memorial will be held on 05/02/2026 at Christ First, Florissant MO beginning at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
