Bob passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Esther, MO. His family moved to St. Louis when he was young. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1956. He furthered his studies at Southwest Missouri State & Northeast Missouri State where he obtained his master’s degree in 1963.
He was previously married to Patricia Glore (nee Burger) where they resided in south county and raised their three daughters: Tina Gaffney (preceded in death), Sheila (Karl) Thompson and Rita (Dave) Gardner.
He was a loving grandfather to Patrick & Danielle, Tyler & Zach, Jackson, Sam and Nick; dear grandfather to Ireland & Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents J Orville & Jewell and his siblings LeRoy, John, Paula, Irma and Betty. Surviving siblings are Joy Snyder and Brenda (Don) Trokey.
He chose a path in education. First at Dewey Elementary School, then Southwest High School and finished his career at Affton High School. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-owning & operating Castlewood Swim and Tennis Club, purchasing rental properties in South St. Louis and then buying a home in Dixon, MO where he met his beloved companion, Kim Bostic. Over the years he owned cattle, horses, goats and rabbits.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later time.

Bob welcomed me into the family. When Tina and I ended up in Dixon he also then bought his farm. We had many good times there. I will miss him. God bless.
