Loretta Hardin, age 76, of Wappapello, Missouri, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1949, and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and the animals she cherished.

Loretta was a devoted grandmother and friend. She is survived by her children: Joanna Fenicle, CarolLynn Goold, David Hays, Larry Hays, and Michael Hays. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Anthoni Goold, Henry Goold, Vanessa Kirby, Alex Greeley, Nathan Bemister, Brandon Bemister, and Breanna Hadley, each of whom brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Robert Bemister.

Loretta had a soft spot for animals of all kinds, and if it had fur, feathers, or a heartbeat, it had a place in her home (whether anyone else planned on it or not). Her beloved pet monkey, Jessica, held a particularly special place in her heart—and likely caused just enough mischief to keep life interesting

Loretta will be remembered for her unwavering love, her compassion for animals, and her generous spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
