Lisa Cobb Austin, age 74, passed away on April 24 2026 at home with family by her side.

She was born on June 10, 1951. Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Austin; her parents, Gertrude and Thomas Grote; and her brother, Robert Grote. She is survived by her son, Matt Austin and his wife, Lisa Austin; and her granddaughter, Samantha Austin.

Lisa will be remembered for her caring nature, enduring loyalty, and wonderful sense of humor. Her life was marked by the joy she found in spending time with her family and friends.  Lisa enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and adventures. She could be found playing slot machines at the casinos or cheering on her favorite sports teams – the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. Lisa also treasured her many Carnival cruises with her family, where she could spend all day poolside soaking up the sun. She was an excellent cook and devoted baker, who especially loved making cookies and was always preparing more than enough food to ensure no guest ever left her home hungry.

Lisa was cremated, and her memory will be honored in a personally special way. Her ashes will be spread in Jackson, Tennessee, where her husband’s ashes reside, as well as in the ocean from a cruise ship, a fitting tribute to her love of the sea.

Lisa’s warmth, laughter, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
