Theresa BonJour

November 26th, 1967 – May 6th, 2026

Theresa BonJour (née George) passed away peacefully on May 6th at the age of 58. She was born in East St. Louis, IL on November 26th. She follows her father Joseph Forbes George 4th, mother Cheryll Ann George (Marler), and ex-husband, but lifetime friend, Troy BonJour. She is survived by family she treasured deeply including but not limited to her sister Billie George, son Adam BonJour,  daughter Chrystal Johnson, niece Nyla Brown, and niece Tionna Brown.

She was a waitress most of her life and enriched the lives of many with her quick wits and charisma. She was a socialite, singer, dancer, designer, fighter, and the life of every party. She spent her free time playing games and setting up moments that her family and friends could remember for a lifetime. She was funny and competitive and would jokingly twist the truth to make it sound as if she won the games, even when she didn’t. She believed in empowering women to obtain safety and donated money to women’s shelters annually. In a truly selfless act, she donated her body to science, so that the next generation might live in better health.
