Darrell Wayne Giffin
Darrell Wayne Giffin, born February 26, 1956, passed away on May 5, 2026.
Darrell was a man who never met a stranger. Known for his sense of humor, practical jokes, and ability to make everyone laugh, he was truly the life of the party wherever he went. He loved concerts, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with the people he loved most. Whether lending a helping hand, cracking a joke, or simply being there when someone needed him, Darrell had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for.
A man of faith, Darrell lived with a generous heart and a spirit that touched countless lives. He was especially wonderful with children and found great joy in the love and laughter of his grandchildren. He was a devoted father to his son, Jeffrey Giffin, and a loving brother, grandfather, partner, and friend — the kind of man anyone would be lucky to know.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth D. Giffin and Betty Jo Giffin, and his brother, Dennis Giffin.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Giffin (Fernanda); his cherished grandchildren, Lily Giffin, Aaron Fischer, and Christopher Brawn; his brothers, Kenny Giffin (Michelle) and Mike Giffin (Brenda); his sister-in-law, Debbie Giffin; along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.
Darrell shared many meaningful years and adventures with his soulmate and travel partner, Monica Knudtson. He also held a special place in his heart for Monica’s grandson, Trystan whom he loved dearly.
Darrell will be remembered for his laughter, kindness, adventurous spirit, unwavering faith, and the way he could light up any room. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the jokes retold, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.
In honor of Darrell’s life, family, friends, and anyone who knew Darrell will be welcome as we bring back a tradition that meant so much to the Giffin family. A celebration of life will be held through the return of the cherished Giffin Family Picnic. Details will be shared at a later time.
