Harriet Pancoast
Harriet Ann (Fisher) Pancoast, 93, Ballwin, Missouri, passed away peacefully June 2nd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 14, 1932, in Norfolk, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Lubbers) Fisher. Harriet grew up in rural Nebraska, graduating from Wakefield High School before earning her degree in Education from University of South Dakota. She later furthered her education at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In 1954, she married Robert “Bob” Pancoast in Madison, Nebraska. Together, they shared 36 wonderful years before Bob’s death in 1990. Together they raised four children.
Harriet enjoyed needlepoint, reading and traveling. She loved to escape to Sanibel Island in the winter with family and friends. She was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Missouri.
Above all, Harriet was the matriarch of her family. As a grandmother, she was the “fun grandma” who spoiled her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Cathy) Pancoast of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Karen (Nick) Levering of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, John (Teri) Pancoast of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and Ann Pancoast of Ballwin, Missouri: her four cherished grandchildren, Kimberly, Jennifer, Laura, and Adam; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bob, and her parents.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 11:00 am at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 15750 Baxter Road, Chesterfield, Missouri. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Missouri in Harriet’s Name.
