Sarah Rose
Sarah Rose, 48, of Edwardsville, passed away on June 15, 2026, in St. Louis following complications from pneumonia.
Born on May 26, 1978, at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Sarah spent most of her life in Arkansas before returning to Illinois to be near family during the last two years of her life.
Sarah dedicated more than 15 years of her career to nursing as a registered nurse, caring for others with skill and compassion. Prior to entering the nursing profession, she worked as a manager for Long John’s Silver. Her commitment to helping others reflected the caring nature that defined much of her life.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoyed spending time watching social media reels, admired the beauty of sunflowers, and was a competitive track and field athlete during her high school years. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, and her cat, Stella. Sarah was known for being honest and straightforward, often balancing her bluntness with warmth, humor, and genuine compassion. Those who knew her will remember her sincerity, her strength of character, and her unwavering love for the people closest to her.
Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Graham, and her brother, Ryan Anderson.
She is survived by her son, Bailey Anderson; her granddaughter, Moona Anderson; her grandson, Sebastian Anderson; her aunt, Susan Siculan; and her cousin, Martin Moore.
Sarah’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever treasure the love, laughter, and honesty she brought into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of the United States in Sarah’s honor.
