Dennis Amelung, age 77, passed peacefully on June 12, 2026. Born August 27, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was known for his love of family, cars, and NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Amelung, his mother, Eileen Amelung and his wife, Mary Spengemann Amelung.

He is survived by two daughters, Deanna (Scott) Cauley, Elizabeth (Glen) Pyatt, five grandchildren, two brothers, Bob (Margie) Amelung, Les Amelung, and a sister, Connie Hampe, as well as nieces and nephews.

His legacy of warmth and tinkering in the garage will always be cherished.

A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
