Andrew J. Villaire

Andrew (Andy) J. Villaire passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at the age of 46. Andy was the son of the late Robert (Bob) and Geraldine (Gerry) Villaire.

Beloved brother of Annette (Jeff) Slane, Linda (Terry) Burns, Bob (Lorna) Villaire, Lorrie (Greg) Nelson and Don (Linda) Villaire. Favorite uncle of Karen Burns, J.R. Slane, Justin (Laura Brooks) Slane, Ryan (Stacey) Nelson, Samantha Villaire, Staci (Ky) Moody, Ben Villaire, Steven Burns, Jennifer Slane, Michelle Burns, Max Villaire and Stephanie Villaire. Beloved great-uncle of Arlo Hayes, Elena Hayes, Jackson Slane, Calvin Nelson, Miles Moody, Grayson Slane, Max Moody, Henrik Nelson, Jack Nelson and Adrian Villaire. Loving friend to many.

Andy was born on April 12, 1980, which to Andy should have been a national holiday. He was the sixth and youngest child of Bob and Gerry. Andy worked at Lafayette Industries West from January 3, 2005, until his retirement on May 26, 2023. Andy enjoyed participating in the WildCats bowling group for many years, liked to show off his dance moves at the monthly Felice Cuores Dances that were started by his parents and several local Knights of Columbus Councils and participated in many other fun activities throughout his life. After his retirement from Lafayette Industries, Andy enjoyed spending his days at EverLove Day Club for about one year and then Serenity Adult
Day Care for about two years. In August 2024, Andy moved into an amazing community home at Pony Bird in Arnold where he made many new friends. Andy’s siblings cannot thank the staffs at EverLove, Serenity and Pony Bird enough for everything they have done for Andy over the last couple of years.

Those who knew Andy, know that he was always full of life, loved to dance and entertain everyone around him, and was known to pull a light-hearted prank or two. He was also a HUGE fan of New Kids on the Block and would tell everyone he met that he was part of the band.

Andy will be sorely missed by his family, but we are taking comfort in knowing that he has joined his beloved parents and that his spirit will live on through his selfless gift of organ and tissue donation. He has already saved three lives and helped many others.

Services: Visitation at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Ellisville MO on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held immediately following the Memorial Mass. We hope you will join the family at the luncheon and share your favorite Andy stories. Contact any family member for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pony Bird, Inc., via mail to PO Box 190, Mapaville, MO 63065-0190 or online at www.ponybird.org, or to the charity of your choice.

Andy was such a happy person from the time that he was born. He was a joy to be around. My family, cousins to Andy, live in Michigan, and we didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with him, but when we did see him he lit up the room with kindness, love, and fun. I remember when he won the gold medal in the special olympics, he reenacted it while we watched the video. We acted like we were right there with him cheering him on all the way. He was so proud, and we were all proud of him. As I remember, he loved the St Louis Cardinals and excited to attend their games with his family. Andy was blessed to be born into the Bob and Gerry Villaire family. He was loved and cared for by his parents and all of his siblings and nieces and nephews. Andy’s best interest and their love for him was always the priority. Andy will be missed , but he will be celebrating being with his mom and dad in God’s kingdom. Love and hugs and prayers to Andy and his family. ❤️💔🙏🏻

Sweet Andy! You were the inspiration for the Felice Cuores Parties and, hopefully, you will continue to watch over them from heaven!

I had the great pleasure of being Andy’s friend and caregiver when he was at EverLove DayClub. Andy had the uncanny ability to spread joy wherever he went. I will always remember his huge smile, his practical jokes, and of course whenever I hear NKOTB. My deepest condolences to his family and thank you for sharing him with us.

Andy was an absolute gem. Knowing he is safely home with mom and dad is the beautiful picture I see in my mind. My mom and dad are there too, along with so many parents of the best neighborhood anyone could ask for.
Our son Philip and Andy were a year apart in age. They were best buds at daycare. Living across the street from the Villaire’s was the best thing ever.
All our love to the family.
