Mary Ann (Kopf) Sovar, age 86, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away peacefully of natural causes on July 1, 2026.

Born on July 16, 1939, Mary Ann dedicated her life to her family as a deeply loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a remarkably generous person who found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family and friends. Always eager to help others, she touched countless lives with her kindness and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emma (Rotter) Kopf; her daughter, Mary; and her son, Paul.

Mary Ann’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, James; her children, Daniel, Diane, Amy, and David (Amber); her beloved brother, Arthur Kopf; and the lights of her life, her 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
