Elizabeth Jayne Campbell (nee Eck)

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Jayne Campbell (nee Eck) who departed peacefully on June 30, 2026, after a courageous and determined battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Liz was born January 12, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Francis Eck and Janet (White) Eck. She graduated from Hazelwood East High School in 1977, graduated from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley in 1980 with an Associate in Arts degree in Art and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Advertising Design and Commercial Art. She also continued her education taking various classes at the Graphic Arts Institute of St. Louis. As a teenager, she worked at Butler Shoes in Jamestown Mall. Liz started her career working downtown St. Louis in Famous-Barr’s Merchandise buying organization. She next moved on to various companies as a Graphic Artist and illustrator, including Matthews International, BW Johnson, Craftsmen Industries, Ambassador Envelope and Fowler Envelope.

Liz was a devoted mother and dear friend to many. Her son Collin was her pride and joy and she talked about him often. She was a kind sole, taking in stray animals and treating them like her children. She didn’t have a mean bone in her and was a stranger to no one. She was a talented Artist and made beautiful arts and crafts. Her green thumb was impressive and her beautiful flower gardens showed it.

Liz is survived by her son, Collin Campbell, sister Jennifer (Mitch) Orzel, many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
